The APPLE program values communication!
Each class has a class chair whose role is to liaise between the teacher and the class and the are class specific meetings to help keep parents up to date on what’s going on inside the classroom. In terms of program wide communication we hold General Meetings (GM) and these are where APPLE parents/guardians come together and discuss any issues that affect the APPLE experience. We also have a wonderful committee that puts out a newsletter called the Core Gazette. Reading the Gazette is a great way to stay up to date on what’s happening around the school (both Apple and whole school). It highlights opportunities for volunteer hours and ways to get involved, outlines upcoming events, run fun contests, helps us get to know the staff at Arthur Ford, and celebrates the successes of our APPLE family.
